The Houston Texans, who will be featured on the 10th edition of the “Hard Knocks” series, are planning joint practices with the Washington Redskins.

According to ESPN.com, the two teams are finalizing details and dates for practices to be held at the Redskins’ summer home in Richmond, Va.

Before the Texans were named as this year’s participant on HBO’s reality series, the Redskins were mentioned as a finalist for the show despite reports that the team wasn’t interested.

Last year, the New England Patriots practiced with the Redskins in Richmond for three days leading up to their preseason matchup. The Redskins and Texans don’t play each other this preseason.

Texans coach Bill O’Brien will conduct joint practices during training camp for the second year in a row. Last season, the Texans traveled to Denver for practices before their preseason matchup against the Broncos. Houston also hosted the Atlanta Falcons before playing them in the preseason.

Houston had planned to practice in New Orleans, but Saints coach Sean Payton pulled out after the Texans were named to be on “Hard Knocks.”
