Ravens Sign Ex-Patriots CB Arrington

Published

on

Kyle Arrington wasn’t out of work for long.

The Baltimore Ravens announced Wednesday they have signed the veteran slot corner, who was released by the New England Patriots on Monday. Financial terms of the deal have yet to be disclosed.

Arrington fills a major area of need for the Ravens, who have significant depth issues in their secondary. Cornerback Jimmy Smith is making his return from Lisfranc foot surgery, while cornerback Lardarius Webb is coming off a season in which he finished 78th out of 108 qualified cornerbacks in Pro Football Focus’ ratings.

Surprisingly, the Ravens didn’t prioritize cornerback in the free agency or draft. Fourth-round selection of Tray Walker was the only addition of note before Wednesday.
