Nelson, also chosen in the fifth round, led FBS with four kickoff returns for touchdowns last season and averaged 38.3 yards per return at Alabama-Birmingham. He was named a Walter Camp first-team All-American and finished his career as the school leader in all-purpose yards with 4,670.

Nelson also ran the fastest 40-yard dash (4.28 seconds) at the NFL Scouting Combine in February.
