Falcons Address Defense Again With Jalen Collins
The Atlanta Falcons get a first-round value in Round 2.
The Atlanta Falcons had one of the worst defenses in the NFL last year, and the problem was more personnel than scheme. Atlanta couldn’t get to opposing quarterbacks and they couldn’t cover.
They’re trying to rectify the situation in the 2015 Draft.
In the first round Atlanta grabbed pass rusher Vic Beasley and in Round 2 they grabbed former LSU defensive back Jalen Collins.
Many had Collins rated as a first round pick as he has great size 6-foot-1, 213 pounds and looks like a Seattle (where new head coach Dan Quinn came from) cornerback. Collins had some issues off the failed as he failed multiple drug tests.
This is another example of a player becoming a bargain due to their own troubles.
