Green Bay Packers rumored to be looking hard at ILB Denzel Perryman

Per an NFL source, the Green Bay Packers are considering using their first overall pick (30th overall) filling a need at linebacker with the addition of Miami Hurricanes ILB Denzel Perryman.

The Packers where so thin last season at the inside linebacker position they had to move outside linebacker and sack specialist Clay Matthews inside. Perryman steadily has been on the rise he recorded a career-high 110 tackles his senior season at Miami.

Perryman has excelled playing both inside and outside linebacker at Miami and earned All-ACC accolades at each position. Short (5-foot-11, 244 pounds) but amazingly productive, Perryman is regarded as one of the top inside linebackers in the nation. Sam Mills (Five Pro-Bowls) and London Fletcher (Four Pro-Bowls) both stood under six-feet tall and proved to be as productive as any linebackers in the league during their respective playing days.
