Per a source, the Tennessee Titans were added to the list of teams North Dakota State running back John Crockett has had workouts with.  The previous teams include the Baltimore Ravens, Carolina Panthers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Minnesota Vikings and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Crockett finished his college career with three straight 1,000-yard seasons and is the Bison’s second all-time rusher in school history with 4,309 yards and set a single-season record with 1,994 yards his senior season. His 21 rushing touchdowns in 2014 were two shy of the all-time record.

Crockett is nicknamed the ‘Tasmanian’ and his style of play may remind you most of Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte. Similar in size and physical attributes Crockett parallels the traits that make Forte one of the league’s best three-down running backs. Forte is able to run, catch and block. Three things Crockett thrived upon in college and will hope to duplicate in the NFL.

Besides producing big numbers running the football he is effective catching the ball out of the backfield. He ranked third on the team in catches (30) and receiving yards (397) his senior season. His stout and consistent pass blocking ability may be the one thing that separates him early on in the draft evaluation. While there are a lot of good running backs in the draft class, not all of them are like Crockett who excels at picking up the blitz and keeping his quarterback upright.
